Monckton member Alfred Artley appointed to Attorney General’s ‘C’ Panel

03 Aug 2023

We are pleased to announce that Alfred Artley has been successful with his application to the Attorney General’s ‘C’ Panel of Crown Counsel and both Raymond Hill and Ewan West have received renewals to their A Panel status for a further 5 years.

Alfred has established a strong junior practice in public procurement, competition, and general commercial law, and is regularly instructed by a range of government, corporate and private clients on significant pieces of litigation. He is ranked as a ‘rising star’ in public procurement by Legal 500, while Chambers UK 2023 describes him as “the junior counsel of his call that everyone wants on their team”.

The Attorney General maintains four advisory panels of junior counsel to undertake civil and EU work for all government departments. There are three London panels (an A panel for senior juniors, a B panel for middle juniors, a C panel for junior juniors) and a regional panel. In addition, there are three Public International Law Panels.

All appointments will commence from 1 September 2023 for five years.
