Unveiled: The Lawyer Top 20 Cases for 2023

The Lawyer’s Top 20 cases with proceedings set to be heard in 2023 have been listed today, three of which involve a total of 15 members of Monckton Chambers:

 

Euronet 360 Finance and others v Mastercard and Visa – listed in the Competition Appeal Tribunal on 2nd October for 12 weeks.

Monckton’s Jon Turner KC, Kassie Smith KC, Andrew Macnab and Philip Woolfe, instructed by Constantine Cannon partner Richard Pike and of counsel Simon Yeung, and Alston & Bird partner James Ashe-Taylor and senior associate Irene Fraile for the claimants, Euronet and others and Monckton’s Khatija Hafesji, instructed by Linklaters partners Tom Cassels and Sarina Williams for the defendant, Visa.

 

Epic Games and others v Alphabet, Google and others listed in the CAT in October for 6 weeks.

For the claimant, Epic Games Monckton Chambers’ Mark Brealey KC, Daisy Mackersie and Will Perry are instructed by Clifford Chance partners Elizabeth Morony and Samantha Ward, for the defendants, Alphabet and Google Monckton Chambers’ Josh Holmes KC, Jack Williams, and Thomas Sebastian for Google,  are instructed by RPC partners David Cran and Sarah Mountain, and associate Samuel Coppard, and Gunnercooke partner Alex Waksman and for an interested party, the Competition and Markets Authority Monckton Chambers’ Ben Lask is instructed.

 

Dr Reddy’s Laboratories and the NHS in England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland v Warner-Lambert Company listed in the High Court, Intellectual Property List, Patents Court on 6 November for 25 days
