James joined Chambers as a Junior Clerk in March 2017 after studying Law & Business at the University of Hull, progressing to Practice Manager in 2025.

He works with members of Chambers across all practice areas, and his responsibilities include liaising with clients regarding allocation of work, fee negotiation, fixing cases across a range of Courts and Tribunals and the overall practice development of members, alongside Chambers’ marketing and business development initiatives. He also sits on Chambers’ Pupillage Committee.
