 cation. Pharma antitrust litigation often centres on billions of dollars o
 f exposure. The size of these cases has focused appellate courts keenly on
  the proper standards for certification of class actions. The recent Asaco
 l case has led courts to be more cautious in granting class certification 
 in pharmaceutical and other antitrust cases. With the U.S. Supreme Court r
 ecently granting petitions of certiorari on fundamental class action issue
 s such as actual injury\, this session will consider what criteria is affe
