 icy: a 50+ year retrospective"
DESCRIPTION:Global Competition Law Center (GCLC) of the College of Europe h
 ave organised this special project in the form of a one day conference tak
 ing place on 21 June in Brussels aimed at reflecting on the evolution of E
 U competition policy over the past 50+ years.\n\nThe conference aims to o
 ffer an overview of the journey taken by key areas of EU competition polic
 y over the past decades\, and to then focus on three topics of particular 
 relevance to today's application of EU competition law\, namely the intera
 ctions between competition law and intellectual property\, the sharing of 
 public enforcement between the EU and national levels\, and the developmen
 t of private enforcement and associated challenges. The event will conclud
 e with a lecture by Mario Siragusa\, followed by a Q&amp\;A session revolv
 ing around his practice and experience.\n\nRonit Kreisberger will be on th
 e panel covering the topic “The Rise of Private Competition Law Enforcem
 ent: benefits\, costs and future prospects” with a presentation on the a
 chievements and challenges of private enforcement in the United Kingdom.\n
